The Chemistry of Cocktails with Durham Co. Public Library

Ever wonder how chemistry and cocktails mix? Join the Maker + STEAM team with Ment Beverage Co. for learning all about this modern day alchemy! In this program, Ment staff will talk about how acids change flavors, phenolics and tasting with your nose (the smoky part), how oxidation works in wine, and bochet, the art of caramelized mead.The program will have a roughly one-hour presentation with Q&A immediately following. Drinks will be available for optional purchase, including a featured smoky drink for the fall!
