Is the tasting room ADA accessible? YES! we picked this new location for this exact reason! We have a step-free entrance and two accessible restrooms. In addition, our menu is available in both a digital & print format. And any additional requests, just ask - we will do our best to accommodate.
Does Ment Beverage Co. & Honeygirl Meadery have more than just mead? YES! Along with our award-winning meads, we also make our own cider, non-alcoholic seltzers & hop water. We also have Durham's FIRST sake! We also offer a selection of locally-made beers. We have something for everything.
What products do you make in-house? All of our meads, and ciders and Durham's First sake is all made in-house. We also make a couple of non-alcoholic options in-house including seltzer and hop water.
Do you offer non-alcoholic products? YES! We have many non-alcoholic and mocktail options. Our menu rotates so come visit us for our current selection.
Where should I park? How much is it to park? What do I do about special event parking payment? The best place to park is the North Parking Deck, located at 305 W Pettigrew St, Durham, NC 27701. Walk past Bert's cabin, over the water and to the other side of the train car on campus. We are in the lower level, small alleyway across from "the cage." The first 2 hours are FREE! If there is a special event happening at DPAC or on the American Tobacco Campus, just inform the attendants you are here to visit Ment Beverage Co. & not for the special event.
Do you offer flights/samplings? Yes! We offer flights of four. Select from anything on draft on the menu. We also offer a suggested flight menu to help with the choices. Also, every Saturday, our cider flight is 20% off.
Is the tasting room family-friendly? Yes! Everyone is welcome at Ment Beverage Co.
Do you have outdoor seating? Is it heated? Yes! we do have outdoor seating. However, it is uncovered and unheated. Indoors we do have a small glassed-in room in the front area that offers a secluded experience for immune-compromised guests.
How do I buy tickets for an event? Visit the events page to sign up and/or purchase tickets for any upcoming events.
Do you offer To-Go products? Yes! you can take almost all of our products home with you. Some items we have bottled while others are available in growlers.
Does Ment Beverage Co./Honeygirl Meadery participate in the Bull Pen? Yes! We are located in the heart of the Bull Pen district. Stop by to grab your favorite beverage and take a stroll through downtown.
Can I bring outside food into the tasting room? Outside food is allowed in our tasting room! American Tobacco Campus has many amazing food options. We invite you to order food from a nearby spot to enjoy while in the tasting room. We recommend Baricua Soul & Queen Burger. Also nearby: Mellow Mushroom, Moe's, Milkshake Factory, Parker & Otis (lunch only).
Can I bring my dog with me inside the tasting room? YES! Your well-behaved and leashed pet is allowed to come inside! We even have treats! And be sure to ask to have your pets pic taken for our dog wall!
Do you offer tours? At this time, we have discontinued tours. However, we do offer tours for special events/occasions. Please reach out to our team: drink@mentbev.com
Can I host a private event in your space? Yes! We are always available for private events/parties. Our rates are reasonable, please reach out for more information: drink@mentbev.com
What is Ment Beverage Co. ? We launched the Ment Beverage brand to operate as a sister brand to Honeygirl Meadery. Ment Beverage crafts alternative beverages while Honeygirl crafts our award winning meads.
What specials are you offering at this time? Every Friday is "Teacher Friday" - $3 off our cocktails & mocktails. Also, every Saturday is "Ciderday" with 20% off cider flights.
What is mead? Mead is honey wine. It's the same process as winemaking but we use honey instead of grapes.
Who is the Honeygirl? Diane Currier, Honeygirl Meadery's founder, is the one and only Honeygirl.
